Wireless Credit Card Processing Solutions from NoblePay

If you sell a product or service than obviously you need to collect money,  and these days everyone uses credit cards so in my opinion every business should be accepting credit cards. If you’ve been looking to accept credit cards away from the office there’s a number of ways you can collect payment out in the field at the time of the sale.Wireless Credit Card processing has been around for over 10 years and in that time its evolved to becoming more and more affordable. Traditional wireless credit card systems will be the most expensive as the upfront equipment costs can range from $450 to $650. The terminals are lightweight hand-held terminals that enable fast, secure, error-free transactions for merchants on the go. There sophisticated multi-application platforms support a range of payment and value-added services, including credit, debit, EBT, prepaid, loyalty and gift cards. Most wireless terminals include easy-to-load thermal printers and some even offer built-in PIN Pads with touch screen and electronic signature capture.

These systems have built in modems that support GPRS networks so you’ll need to pay a monthly recurring cellular connectivity charge typically around $15-20. They also have readable displays plus a rechargeable battery, and are very rugged for commercial use. If you own a laptop computer and have wireless access, all you need is a usb card reader and you’ve got yourself an instant wireless virtual POS system!

It’s best to have a wireless access card from a carrier such at AT&T, Sprint or Verizon as you’ll always know you have internet access but with so many wireless hotspots available these days, there’s a good chance you can get by without one. Most merchant service providers sell debit and credit card desktop software applications or web based virtual terminal solutions that will allow you to process Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, JCB and Diners Club cards for merchants located in the U.S. In addition to replacing all of the functionality of traditional credit card terminal, this desktop software or web based virtual terminal system can store credit card information for later processing. That’s especially helpful when you deliver goods and services, either on a one-time basis or multiple times. It’s also great for generating recurring credit card payments in either fixed or variable amounts.

A wireless terminal may be the right solution for you and your business, depending on your needs, flexibility, and how convenient you would like things to be.
