As an innovative entrepreneur, you never reject the chance to share the vision of your business with the world.  So, when you are given the opportunity to travel away from your normal place of business, and go to a fair or an open market, you jump at the chance.  However, you are not completely familiar with the spending habits of these people far from your comfort zone.  On the surface, cash only appears to be the best way to conduct business because of the universal appeal of cash.  On the other hand, though, credit cards are accepted all over, and you are in a new place.

The end of the year is the best time to energize your sales.  As an entrepreneur, you should always be on the look out for opportunities to expand your business.  However, studies have shown that the end of the year, the season closest to the Christmas season is the time of year when consumers are open to shopping more.  Take advantage of the opportunities to get new business, by accepting all the different kinds of payments that customers offer, such as cash and credit cards.

When you are travelling for your business, you may think accepting only cash is the best option.  Cash is universal, and everyone should have it.  However, when you think about it, credit cards are universal also.  So, if credit cards are just as universal as cash, why not keep your same policy about accepting credit cards when you are in a different locale?

In many big cities, there are conventions and street fairs that go on weekly.  Some cities even have a venue dedicated to small businesses in order to help them out. 

While only accepting cash seems like the best way, when you are away from your normal business location, it would probably be better for your business to accept credit cards as well.  You may think that by virtue of being in a dedicated business setting, with the benefit of other businesses around you, that customers would remember to bring cash for the day.
