When people are in a shopping mood, they may or may not have cash on them.  However, they will have credit cards on their person.  As an entrepreneur, you should always be ready to accept sales, in whatever form they may come.  If you only accept cash, you would be missing out on many opportunities for sales.  You are in the business to gain as many customers as you are able.  When you allow customers who want to purchase your items or services to leave your store, you are showing them that their business is not important to you.  And that could not be further from the truth.  So do your business a favor, and accept credit cards.
